Kent batsman Zak Crawley has been named in both the England Test and T20 squads to face Australia and New Zealand this winter.

The right handed batsman has been rewarded for some consistent performances over the summer and is expected to open the batting alongside Ben Duckett during the Ashes.
The England Men’s selection panel has named a 16-strong squad for the Ashes Test tour of Australia, alongside IT20 and ODI squads for the white-ball tour of New Zealand, which precedes the Ashes.

Harry Brook has been confirmed as England’s vice-captain for the Ashes tour, replacing Ollie Pope.
Durham fast bowler Mark Wood returns to the Test squad following his recovery from a left knee injury.
Somerset spinner Shoaib Bashir is available again after recovering from the finger injury sustained during the home series against India.
Durham seamer Matthew Potts and Surrey batting all-rounder Will Jacks are both included. Potts last featured in December 2024 against New Zealand, while Jacks won his most recent Test cap in December 2022 against Pakistan. Jacks will miss the white-ball tour of New Zealand with a broken finger but is expected to be fit for the Ashes.
Test Captain Ben Stokes continues his recovery from the shoulder injury that ruled him out of the final Test against India at the Kia Oval and remains on track to be available for the start of the Test series in November.
Kent batter Zak Crawley has received his first call-up to the IT20 squad, having previously represented England at Test and ODI level.
In the ODI squad, there are call-ups for all-rounders Sam Curran and Liam Dawson. Lancashire seamer Luke Wood is also added after impressing in IT20 cricket for England.
Ben Duckett, Jamie Smith and fast bowler Jofra Archer will be rested for the IT20 series.
Lancashire seamer Saqib Mahmood misses the New Zealand tour after undergoing minor knee surgery.
The England Lions squad for the tour of Australia, which will mirror the start of the Ashes with matches in Perth, Canberra, and Brisbane, will be announced in due course.
The IT20 squad for New Zealand departs on 10 October. The Ashes squad will assemble in Perth during the second week of November.
