Crawley extends Kent contract

Kent Cricket has announced that England opener Zak Crawley has signed a further year’s contract extension with the Club.

Crawley’s extension will mirror the 28-year-old’s one-year England Men Central Contract, and he will be available for Kent at the start of the 2026 Rothesay County Championship.

A product of the Kent Cricket Academy, Crawley has signed up for his tenth season as a Kent first-team player, having made 156 all-format appearances to-date, scoring 6,514 runs and scoring 10 centuries.

Bromley-born Crawley is one of only seven Kent Men’s batters to have scored 100 or more in each of England’s three domestic competitions for the Club.

On extending his Kent contract for another year, Crawley said: “I feel very proud to be heading into my tenth year at Kent.

“I’m excited to play for my home county when available this year – there’s a lot of talent coming through now and I hope to aid in their development as much as I can.”

Kent’s Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, said: “Zak has developed all the way through our pathway and up to international level – his story is as much of a success for our Talent Pathway as his determination and hard work to keep improving as a player.

“He’s now in a position where his international experience will benefit us with top order runs when he’s available for us, but he’ll also be a great mentor and sounding board for our young top-order batters, too, to further help their development.”
