Coronavirus strikes Kent football man

It’s been announced that the Coronavirus has struck the Kent footballing family.

In a tweet from his hospital bed, the Vice Chairman of the Southern Counties Eastern Football League, John Moules said on Tuesday evening, “Just to let all my friends know I am in hospital with the virus.”

By the following morning, the messages of support for the very popular administrator were pouring into Twitter with many SCEFL clubs forwarding their best wishes as well as players, friends and fellow administrators alike.

When KSN contacted John by text on Wednesday morning, he told us, “Thank you for your best wishes. I can only say this virus is aggressive, but I am in the best place with the best NHS staff. Not well enough to talk at present but receiving the best treatment.”

It goes without saying that we send John our best wishes for a speedy recovery, and the thoughts of the entire Kent footballing family are with John’s family at this incredibly difficult time for them all…
