Spa-Francorchamps plays host to the latest round for Mike and his Toyota Racing team and they will be targeting a podium finish this weekend.

After joining Toyota as a test and reserve driver in 2014, Conway will now racing for their WEC team alongside Alex Wurz and Stéphane Sarrazin in the number 2 car, while Kazuki Nakajima joins Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi winners at Spa last year in car number 1.

His team’s success in 2014 paved the way for a superb year, which saw Toyota win five of eight races, the manufacturers’ title and the driver’s title for Antony and his teammate Sébastien Buemi.

The reigning world champions will be looking to build on the third and fourth places they secured in the season-opening race at Silverstone.Mike Conway - Spa 2 - PSP Images

Speaking ahead of the weekends racing, Mike said: “I haven’t raced at Spa since 2008 in GP2. I’ve been away far too long. It was one of my favourites so I am definitely looking forward to racing an LMP1 car there. We made a reasonable start to the season at Silverstone but I think Spa will suit us better, so I expect we will be stronger.”

The Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps will be the 10th race contested by the TS040 Hybrid. Since its launch at the start of last season, the car has claimed a top-three finish in every race, including five victories.
