The Kent FA have announced that it has awarded 23 FA Charter Standard Clubs funding to help create new 11-a-side adult teams.

Football

The fund is designed to develop new teams where there are gaps in provision and to incentivise clubs to generate a growth of teams.

The 23 successful clubs will now use the funds to contribute to the expenditure of kit and equipment, league fees, coach education, referees and facility hire in order to create the new teams.

Football Development Officer, Lee Suter said “We were inundated with applications from clubs wishing to set-up new teams, and we have tried to award as many as possible who met the criteria in order to provide financial support to create new 11v11 teams in Kent.”

“This has seen the Kent FA invest over £14,000 into creating new 11v11 adult teams with the successful teams now offering more opportunity for people to play the game”.
