Chester v Bromley preview

Bromley make the long trip up to The Diva Stadium to face Chester tonight to play a rearrange National League fixture, which originally fell victim to the snow early last month.

The Ravens travel up on the back of a 0-0 draw at home to Gateshead on Saturday, which all but ruled them out of a chance of making the play offs, but they will be keen to try and rediscover the goal scoring form which deserted them at the weekend.

Chester go in to the game with relegation already confirmed on Saturday after a 2-0 home defeat to Tranmere Rovers and The Blues have not won a match since 17th February, picking up 31points from 42 games so far this season.

The Ravens are unbeaten in three and still sit tenth with 60 points from 40 games, Neil Smith’s side face two games a week from now until the end of the league campaign, following their successful run in the FA Trophy.

When the two sides met at Hayes Lane in November, the game finished 1-1 with both goals coming just after fifteen minutes and only sixty seconds apart.

With the pressure off both sides the game could really go either way and Smith may well take the opportunity to give game time to players who have been on the bench or on the fringes of the squad recently.
