Football of importance at both ends of the table takes place when Chessington & Hook United host AFC Greenwich Borough in a Southern Counties East Football League First Division match.

At present, visitors Greenwich are in second place in the league table, one point behind SE Dons, but with a game in hand. Chessington have found things tougher, and are in penultimate spot in the table, having played one game fewer than bottom club, Welling Town.
This will be their third game in five days. Chessington were beaten three-two at home to Lewisham Borough on Saturday but arrested their run of ten games without a win on Monday when beating Bridon Ropes three-nil on Monday evening.
John Fouracre gave them a half time lead and Tobe Uzor eased their nerves five minutes after the break. Rushaar Samuel-Smikle sealed the win with nineteen minutes remaining.
On Saturday, Greenwich completed their fifth consecutive league and cup victory, all with clean sheets, when defeating Lydd Town four-nil. Abel Vendrells-Parcerisa put them ahead in the third minute and Stefan Payne added a second eight minutes later.
When Joe Taylor scored on the half hour mark, the match was over as a contest. Oghosa Williams put the icing on the cake with a goal on the hour mark.
Although the hosts cannot finish higher than their current position, step six clubs are often reprieved from relegation and they will have a better opportunity if they avoid finishing bottom.
Meanwhile, Greenwich know that should they win, their superior goal difference would mean that a point at Staplehurst Monarchs would be sufficient to win them the league championship.
