Gillingham are back on the road this Tuesday as they travel to Cheltenham for their penultimate away fixture in League Two this season.

The Gills have two draws and a win from their last three fixtures, with good performances against Walsall and Salford who are both in the promotion hunt.
Saturday’s 0-0 draw away at Salford was another example of Gillingham’s recent defensive solidity, keeping their second consecutive clean sheet.
Salford were the dominant side but couldn’t find a way to break down the resolute Gills defence. Two excellent saves in injury time from veteran keeper Glenn Morris ensured the points were shared.
The point means Gillingham move to 50 points, but they remain 17th in the table. Cheltenham are 19th on 46 points but have a game in hand.
Cheltenham’s season had an abysmal start with five consecutive losses and only one goal in the opening five fixtures. The poor form led to a managerial change with Michael Flynn replaced in late September by former manager Steve Cotterill.
Their form subsequently improved, picking up 12 wins and 10 draws over the season which has made them mathematically safe from relegation.
In their last fixture, Cheltenham picked up their biggest win of the season with a dominant 0-4 victory away at Walsall. Harry Ashfield, Isaac Hutchinson, George Miller and Josh Martin all found the net in the second half.
Gillingham and Cheltenham have played each other on 20 occasions, with Gillingham winning six and Cheltenham four. In the reverse fixture in October, Elliot Nevitt rescued a point for the Gills with a 95th minute equaliser.
Both clubs are in a similar position with neither promotion nor survival to play for. However, they are both in good form and players will have contracts and positions in the 2026-27 starting line up to play for as it seems both managers are likely to be in post at the start of next season, looking to build on this year.
