It was a game of two halves as Chatham Town were not in the game while Lewes bossed the game at the break as this win pushed them up to ninth in the table.

The game took a while to get going but Lewes got themselves bossing the game and in the fifteenth minute Tyler Cox latched on to a long throw and from an acute angle saw his shot parried around the post by Nathan Harvey.
Three minutes later Harvey saved the day when he came out and blocked a shot. In the twenty third minute Andrew Briggs running forward saw his twenty five yard shot saved.
In the thirty eighth minute Chatham had their first real chance when Brad Stevenson saw his twenty yard free kick spilled by Louie Rogers and knocked into the net but a free kick was given for a foul then in the forty fourth minute Lewes took the lead when Charlie Walker saw his twenty five yard free kick fly straight past Harvey and into the top right hand corner.
A minute later they doubled their lead when a ball forward found Walker and he looked up and saw Harvey off his line and from twenty yards chipped into the empty net.
Half time arrived and Kevin Hake would have do one his famous speeches if Chatham were to get anything out of this game.
The second half was only two minutes old when Chatham scored when Stevenson on the left wing saw his low cross find Sam Folarin but from six yards out his shot was blocked but came to Alex Giles who shot home from two yards.
This seemed to get to Lewes as they suddenly stopped playing and Chatham were now in the driving seat. In the fifty ninth minute Kian Garlinge put Stevenson through in the area and he cut inside one defender but his shot was saved.
In the sixty sixth minute Ollie Evans in the area passed to Jimmy Wild eight yards out but he shot over the bar.
Twelve minutes later Garlinge twenty yards out tried his luck but Rogers saved it. In the eightieth minute against all odds Chatham got the equaliser when Evans’ cross into the area found Wild but his shot was blocked and went to Ben Allen who shot in from two yards, the ground exploded with noise.
Then a minute later they went in front when a long ball forward saw Harry Lodovica hold off the defender and passed into the path of Stevenson who returned the pass and Lodovica curled his shot past the despairing dive of Rogers, Chatham had definitely dodged a bullet with this performance.
