Chatham won their second game in a row with a hard earned victory over a good Three Bridges side and moved up to eighth in the table but had another player sent off their second in three matches.

The first half was a bit scruffy with few chances; the first chance came in the seventh minute when a cross into the area saw Bradley Stevenson’s header easily saved by Sam Robert’s.

Three Bridges nearly scored in the 14^th minute when Carlos Richards received the ball in the area and from a tight angle forced Nathan Harvey to push it away and Jordi Robins was the quickest to react and cleared it away two yards from the goal.

Chatham took the lead controversially when Adam Leathers on the edge of the area was fouled and the referee gave a penalty but for some people it seemed outside the area, anyway up stepped Stevenson who hit it into the bottom right-hand corner.

Eleven minutes later James Wild in the area received the ball from Ollie Evans and from an acute angle went wide. In the fourth minute of added on time Leathers got onto a Wild’s flick on but shot across the goal eventually going out for a throw.

The second half was more entertaining by both sides. In the 46^th minute Stevenson tried his luck from twenty yards, but Roberts saved easily.

Ten minutes later Chatham doubled their lead when Kian Moynes on the right wing by the corner flag got his cross over for Wild who headed goal wards only for Roberts to make a great save but unfortunately for him Evans reacted the quickest and poked home.

In the 68^th minute Bridges got a deserved goal when Kevin Rivera on the left wing cut inside and from twenty yards shot past Harvey on the near post, keepers really shouldn’t be beaten at their near post.

In the 75^th minute Stevenson collected a long ball and from eighteen yards saw his shot palmed away by Roberts but straight to Wild but he blazed his shot over the bar. 

Another glorious chance for Chatham in the 81^st minute when Ben Allen in the area passed to Stanley Oldfield but from eight yards his rocket shot was saved by Roberts.

Then in the 83^rd minute another controversial decision came when Kian Garlinge got to a loose ball but in doing so caught the defender who rolled around in pain and the referee sent him off.

In the 87^th minute Chatham got their third when Robins put Ben Coker in and his cross found Allen and from fifteen yards his shot with a slight deflection beat Roberts
