Chatham Town 3-0 Plymouth Parkway

Chatham’s season keeps getting better and with-it history as they are into the fourth round of the F.A. Trophy after easing past Plymouth Parkway.

The game could have been different had Plymouth been given a penalty but sometimes you need some luck and after that incident Chatham would control the game.

The game took some time to get going and the first half chance of the game went Plymouth’s way when Rio Garside saw his twenty-yard shot tipped over the bar by Nathan Harvey.

In the eighteenth minute a weird decision by the Referee when Jordi Robbins seemed to foul a Plymouth forward in the area, but he ignored their claims then in the next minute Kasim Aidoo got onto a long ball in the area chested it down but saw his shot pushed around the post by Isacc Finch.

Plymouth would have their last real chance in the twentieth minute when Mikey Williams picked up a loose ball and went forward and passed into the path of Garside but from twenty yards his side foot effort went wide of the post. In the twenty second minute Chatham took the lead when a long ball out to Ollie Evans on the right wing saw him cut inside and pass into the path of Matt Macarthur who from twenty yards shot past Finch.

The rest of the half saw Chatham enjoying a lot of possession but not really causing any problems while Plymouth seemed to be rocked by this goal.

The second half was only a minute old when Chatham doubled their lead, Robins twenty yards out saw his shot parried away by Finch but unfortunately for them it went straight to Tope Fadahunsi who reacted the quickest and from three yards knocked in.

In the fifty fourth minute Sam-Sene-Richardson tried his luck from twenty-five yards and Finch parried it away and this time their defence reacted the quickest and cleared it.  Five minute later Kian Moynes ghosted into the area and saw his shot hit the side netting.

In the sixty sixth minute Macarthur put Aidoo through in the area but his shot went across the goal and wide. Chatham were now in complete control and the icing on the cake came in the third minute off added on time when Sene- Richardson on the right wing looked up and saw Ben Allen in space twenty five yards out and the crowd shouted at him to shoot so he did and it went into the top left hand corner giving Finch no chance.

Chatham now look forward to the draw on Monday as they try to make more history in this brilliant season they are having.
