Charlton vs Peterborough United – Preview

Karl Robinson will take charge of his first league game at The Valley on Saturday.

Peterborough provide the opposition, and though they are currently in the play-off zone, they are just four points ahead of the Addicks.
Grant McCann plays a quick, counter attacking style, and Charlton’s defence will need to be on their mettle.
Robinson lost Lee Novak to injury on Tuesday, though Declan Rudd is now back in full training, and could be an option.

Patrick Bauer is available again after serving a suspension for the red card he picked up at Bradford last week.

Andrew Crofts, Frederik Ulvestad and Josh Magennis will return, and Morgan Fox has recovered from the bug that sidelined him last week.

The Addicks could look like this:

Rudd; Foley, Bauer, Teixeira, Fox; Botaka, Crofts, Ulvestad, Lookman; Magennis, Ajose.

Subs: Phillips, Konsa, Chicksen, Johnson, Jackson, Aribo, Hanlan.

The referee will be Charles Breakspear from Surrey.

This should be an open, entertaining game, but Robinson will be desperate to chalk up his first win as Charlton’s boss.
