Charlton Ath v Blackpool Preview

Buoyed by Tuesday’s performance, Chris Powell will be hopeful that his team can get a long overdue win when Blackpool visit The Valley on Saturday. The Valley

The Tangerines are still in the play-off zone, despite being on a winless streak of four, though three of those games ended in draws.

Former Addick, Ricardo Fuller, will be looking to score on his return to The Valley. The dangerous Tom Ince will be the main creative force and can also chip in with goals.

Powell is likely to have Bradley Pritchard available again and Simon Church may recover from the knock he picked up against Nottingham Forest.

The back four and midfield will probably be unchanged and Ben Hamer will be between the sticks despite his recent indifferent form.

If Church recovers from the knock he picked up on Tuesday, he will continue his embryonic partnership with Marvin Sordell. The game is likely to come too soon for Yann Kermorgant to be involved though.

Charlton could like this:

Hamer; Wilson, Morrison, Wood, Wiggins; Cousins, Gower, Stephens, Harriott; Church, Sordell.

Subs: Alnwick, Evina, Dervite, Pritchard, Hughes, Stewart, Pigott.

Keith Hill from Hertfordshire will be the referee.

Another tough match for the Addicks but the momentum they gained from Tuesday’s performance against Forest may just give them the edge.
