Already helping out a number of people across the county, The Kent Trust for Youth Sport was founded in 2000 and is a charity which aims to help young people in the county to participate in sport.
Since the charity was established over £50,000 has been awarded to individuals and organisations.

There are two funding streams available; the first to develop and support sports excellence in individuals, and the second for clubs and community organisations to help young people participate in sport.

Bearsted and Thurnham Bowling Club received funding to purchase new bowling equipment specifically designed for young people and to support a schools coaching programme in and around their new artificial surface.

Recipients of the Cornwallis Sporting Excellence Awards are all young high level performers destined for greatness in their sport:
  • Patrick Keech, recently crowned 2014 29er Grand Prix Series Champion
  • Ryan Holden, no.1 U18 Archery GB, recently Kent Indoor champion for a second year running and selected for England at the forthcoming Junior Nationals. (image attached with trophies)
