This weekend Daniel Brooks is back on track as the Pirelli National Superstock Championship heads to Donington Park for the second round of the season.

Brooks will be looking to build upon what was unfortunately a disappointing round at Oulton Park two weeks ago, where a tough qualifying meant that he was on the back foot for the race on Sunday.
Having qualified 19th, it was always going to be a tough task for him to move forward during the race, but he did make progress and crossed the line in 12th place netting three valuable championship points.

Speaking after round one, Brooks said: “After a productive pre-season and winter tests I was feeling more than ready for round one, but it was a tough weekend overall.
“I didn’t click into place with the feeling of the bike from free practice so was chasing my tail to find something I could click with. A tough qualifying meant I was starting down in P19 which I wasn’t happy about at all. But I pulled it back a bit in the race finishing P12.
“Unfortunately the race got red flagged a couple laps short and I definitely had better pace than the lads in front so there was more there.

It ended positive cause I did click with the bike in the race and I had strong lap times so we finished up well.
“I am looking forward to round two at Donington. I felt good there in testing so I’m ready to get my head down and improve from round one.”
