Going into the final game of the League Two season already promoted Bromley have an outside chance of clinching the title when they entertain Walsall at a sold out Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Milton Keynes Dons are in the box seat, sitting top of the table with 85 points ahead of their trip to Fleetwood Town with a much better goal difference of +41, while The Ravens are on 84 points, with a goal difference of +23. It’s been nine days since Andy Woodman’s side lost 2-0 away at Salford City and after MK Dons won on the following Saturday, Bromley slipped from the top of the table for the first time in 2026. Bromley have to win their game and hope The Dons fail to do the same on the Fylde Coast.
Injuries and fatigue have certainly played a part in the recent dip in form for The Ravens, but to have secured promotion is an incredible achievement for the club and will be celebrated after the final whistle, whatever the result on Saturday afternoon. Along with that, Andy Woodman’s side are now one game away from going unbeaten in the league at home all season.
Club captain Byron Webster also announced that he will be playing his last game for Bromley on Saturday, ending an incredible spell at the club that started in 2020 and has seen him win two promotions and an FA Trophy, scoring the winning penalty in the play-off final that made The Ravens an EFL club in 2024.
Walsall make the trip down from the West Midlands sitting in twelfth place with 65 points from 45 league matches. The Saddlers lost 2-0 at home to Harrogate Town last Saturday, having had a difficult season that saw manager Matt Sadler lose his job in March. Darren Byfield has since taken over on an interim basis, but they have struggled to find consistency and slipped down to mid-table.
When the sides met at The Bescot Stadium in November, Walsall won 3-1 with second half goals from Daniel Kanu, Ryan Finnigan and Courtney Clarke giving The Saddlers all three points after Ben Krauhaus had put The Ravens in front.
Bromley’s top scorer Michael Cheek is still out injured, along with defender Jesse Debrah and striker Marcus Dinanga. Right backs Carl Jenkinson and Lakyle Samuel have also not featured for some time. Andy Woodman will be hoping his side can produce one more hard working display to end the season with a positive result, keep the unbeaten home record intact and celebrate the historic promotion to League One.
Kick-off is at 3pm, all tickets have sold out for the game.
