Bromley FC kick off their 2026/27 campaign with a home game against Reading in the League Cup tomorrow afternoon at Hayes Lane.

It’s been a busy summer for Andy Woodman as he assembled a new look squad following promotion to League One at the end of last season winning League Two on the final day of the campaign, signing ten new players so far.  

Former St Mirren keeper Shamal George looks set to start in goal for Bromley with Grant Smith having picked up an injury in the Portugal training camp and there was also an injury concern with Deon Woodman after the Millwall game.

On the positive side is top scorer Michael Cheek has returned to action, having last featured for the first team in March before picking up an injury.         

Reading make the trip across from Berkshire having finished twelfth in League One last season, slipping away from the play off places in the second half of the campaign.

The Royals have had a solid pre-season and will be looking to challenge for the play offs again this campaign. Manager Leam Richardson has kept the services of top scorer Jack Marriott and added midfielder Josh Stokes along with two youngsters in Matteo Dashi and Torin Ntege.    

Tickets for the Reading game have been reduced to £15 for adults, £12 for OAPs, £9 for under 17s and £6 for under 13s. They and can be purchased in advance from the official Bromley website, kick off on Saturday is at 3pm.
