Bromley vs Kidderminster Harriers – Preview

After securing an FA Trophy Semi Final place last weekend, Bromley are back in National League action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Kidderminster Harriers at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens scheduled league fixture at Wealdstone was postponed on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch and this now leaves Andy Woodman’s side with a very busy final few weeks of the season, including nine league games and a trophy semi final. Bromley currently sit in third place with 66 points from 37 games, two points ahead of Solihull Moors in fourth and with a game in hand. The second and third spots guaranteeing a path straight to the play off semi finals and home advantage.

Last Saturday The Ravens defeated Barnet 2-0 in the FA Trophy quarter final at Hayes Lane with goals from Michael Cheek & Olufela Olomola in one of their best performances of the season. This was also Bromley’s third consecutive clean sheet, recording two wins and a draw so far in March.

Kidderminster Harriers make the journey down from Worcestershire sitting in twenty first place with 41 points from 39 league games. Harriers were promoted as Champions from National League North last season. Since Phil Brown took over as manager in January The Harriers form has picked up and they have given themselves a chance of staying up, now just two points off fifth from bottom. The have won two and drawn two of their last five National League games.

On Tuesday night Kidderminster drew 1-1 at home with AFC Fylde, Amari Morgan-Smith scoring a late equaliser for Harriers who have Cole Kpekawa & Todd Miller on loan from Bromley, neither of whom can play against their parent club on Saturday.

When the teams met at Aggborough Stadium in August the match ended 0-0 and with both teams needing a win to help their respective play off and relegation fights, this should be as equally as close and fiercely contested game.

Tickets are available from the Bromley FC website, Adults £20, Concessions £15, Under 16’s £7, 11 years and under are free (accompanied by a paying adult). Please note: ticket prices will automatically increase by £2 online from midnight ahead of kick-off and on the gate. There is a printed programme at £3. Kick off is at 3pm.
