Bromley vs Grimsby Town – Preview

In form Bromley are back in League Two action on Saturday lunchtime when they entertain Grimsby Town at Hayes Lane, in their last home fixture of 2025.

The Ravens go into the game unbeaten at home in the league this season, winning their last two matches, which has lifted them up to fourth in the table with 36 points from 20 games played.

Last Saturday Andy Woodman’s side won 1-0 away at Accrington Stanley thanks to a last minute Deji Elerewe header, having won 3-1 at home to Crawley Town the previous Tuesday.

Grimsby Town make the early trip down from Lincolnshire sitting in fourteenth place with 27 points from 20 matches, The Mariners have struggled of late and are without a league win since 18th October, although they are still in the FA Cup. Last time out David Artell’s side lost 2-0 at home to Notts County.

The teams have met on six previous occasions with Bromley winning two and Grimsby four, The Mariners completed the double over The Ravens last season, winning 1-0 at Blundell Park in September and 2-0 at Hayes Lane in February with goals from Danny Rose and Justin Obikwu.

With Bromley looking to extend their unbeaten home run and Grimsby trying to end their hunt for a league win, this should be a hard fought & entertaining League Two encounter.

Prior to kick off there will be a minutes applause for former Bromley manager John Biddle who passed away earlier this month, Biddle was at the club from 1975 to 1981, reaching the FA Cup First Round in 1976, winning the Kent Senior Cup in 1977 and winning promotion to the Isthmian League Premier Division in 1980.

Kick off is at 12:30pm and is being shown on Sky Sports Plus, tickets are available from the official Bromley website.
