Bromley vs Eastleigh – Preview

Bromley are back in National League action on Tuesday night when they take on Eastleigh at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game on an unbeaten run of nine games, having drawn 1-1 away at Solihull Moors on Saturday. Ben Krauhaus putting Bromley in front, before the unbeaten Moors equalised just before the hour.

Michael Cheek and Josh Passley both missed the match, with Bim Pepple and Jude Arthurs coming in, while Arsenal loanee Kido Taylor-Hart came on as a sub for the injured Louis Dennis to make his debut and Lewis Leigh also made his first appearance from the bench after signing on loan from Preston NE.

Andy Woodman’s side are now fifth in the table with 19 points from 11 matches, nine points off leaders Chesterfield.

Eastleigh travel up from Hampshire sitting in twelfth with 14 points from 11 games, The Spitfires had a tough start to the campaign and sacked manager Lee Bradbury after three games, with Richard Hill taking over as interim boss.

Since then Eastleigh have been on a good run and on Saturday they won 2-1 at home to Kidderminster Harriers with two goas from Paul McCallum.

Eastleigh and Bromley have been competing against each other since their days in National League South, The Spitfires winning promotion in 2014 followed by The Ravens a year later and they have generally been up around the play of places ever since.

When the teams met last season Bromley won 2-1 at Hayes Lane in September with a double from Adam Marriott, while at the Silverlake Stadium in February the match ended 0-0.

Tuesday’s game looked set to be equally as tight with both teams in good form and looking to stay in touch with the play off places.
