Bromley vs Dorking Wanderers – Preview

Bromley are back in National League action again on Tuesday night when they entertain Dorking Wanderers at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game on an impressive run of form having only lost once in their last fifteen games and on Saturday they won 3-1 at home to Oxford City with recent signing Olufela Olamola scoring twice with Louis Dennis adding the third.

The victory moved Andy Woodman’s team up to fourth in the table with 29 points from 16 games played. Deji Elerewe made his second debut for the club on Saturday having re-joined on loan from Charlton Athletic, as the manager made some changes.

The strength in depth of the squad was shown by the players who were not picked for the matchday sixteen with Kido Taylor-Hart, Ryan Jones, James Vennings, Jude Arthurs, Callum Reynolds, Chin Okoli & Cole Kpekawa all not involved.

With Alex Kirk rolling his ankle against Oxford City it looks like there will be an opening for one of the centre backs to return to the side on Tuesday.

Dorking’s game at Altrincham was postponed on Saturday due to the weather and their manager Marc White was at Hayes Lane to scout his opposition.

The Wanderers are currently fourteenth in the table with 18 points from 15 matches. Their last game saw them lose 2-0 away to local rivals Horsham in the FA Cup and in the league they lost 3-2 at home to Barnet having lead 2-0 at the break, with goals from Josh Taylor and Jason Prior.

Dorking’s last win came on 16th September away at Halifax Town, Tony Craig with the vital goal.

When the sides met at Hayes Lane in February last season Bromley won 2-0 with goals from Omar Sowunmi & Charlie Kendall, in the reverse fixture last November The Ravens were also successful 3-2 in a hugely entertaining game at Meadowbank and this game looks set to be the same.
