Top of the table Bromley are back in League Two action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Colchester Utd at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game on a twenty-match unbeaten run and haven’t lost at home in the league all season. On Tuesday night Andy Woodman’s side won 1-0 away at Newport County, courtesy of an 88th minute wonder strike from Corey Whitely. The victory moved Bromley on to 76 points from 38 games, nine points clear of Notts County in fourth place with eight league matches remaining.
Colchester make the journey down from Essex sitting in thirteenth place, having picked up 53 points from 37 league games, six points off the last play-off spot. On Wednesday night Danny Cowley’s side lost 1-0 away to promotion challengers Milton Keynes Dons. The Us being in consistently inconsistent form so far this year.
When the teams met at The Colchester Community Stadium in November, Bromley won 2-0 with late goals from Omar Sowunmi and Michael Cheek. Last season’s game at Hayes Lane in January 2025 saw Colchester win 1-0 with an early goal from Owura Edwards.
Top scorer Cheek still remains sidelined with injury along with defender Kyle Cameron. Ben Thompson & Carl Jenkinson also missed Tuesday’s trip to South Wales with Academy product George Evans taking a place on the bench and Spurs loanee Damola Ajaiyi making his first start for the club.
This match looks set to be a close fought encounter with Bromley looking to maintain their lead and Colchester eyeing a late charge for the play offs.
Tickets are available from the official Bromley FC website. Kick-off is at 3pm.
