Bromley begin their FA Cup campaign for the season with a home tie against fellow League Two side Bristol Rovers at Hayes Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The Ravens go into the game having beaten MK Dons 2-1 at home last weekend courtesy of second half goals from Deji Elerewe and Omar Sowunmi, the victory moved them up to eleventh in the table with 21 points from 14 league games, just two points off the play off places.
Andy Woodman, who will be serving the second game of his touchline ban, may shuffle his pack for this cup tie and give some players valuable games time, but he will probably be without striker Nike Kabamba who went off with a head injury last Saturday.
Bromley made club history by reaching the FA Cup third round last season, eventually losing 3-1 away at Newcastle United, but they still haven’t recorded a FA Cup win over Football League in the modern era, having beaten two National League sides on their way to St James’ Park and will be hoping to rectify that on Saturday.
Bristol Rovers make the trip up from the West Country sitting in sixteenth place with 17 points from 14 league matches, last weekend Darrell Clarke’s side lost 4-0 away to Crawley Town, their fifth consecutive defeat as The Pirates struggle to adapt to life after relegation from League One.
In last years FA Cup Rovers also made it to the third round, before losing to 3-0 away to Premier League Ipswich Town.
The sides last met in the FA Cup first round back in 2019 when the first game ended 1-1 at the Memorial Ground and Rovers won the replay 1-0 at Hayes Lane.
Bromley were in the National League at the time with Rovers playing in League One, but one promotion and relegation later they meet on level terms for what should be a closely fought tie. The match has to be decided on the day with extra time and penalties on offer should the scores be level.
Tickets are selling well, but some are still available from the Bromley FC official website.
Kick off is at 3pm.
