Bromley vs Barnet – Preview

Bromley play their first home game of the new League Two season on Saturday when they entertain newly promoted Barnet at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game having drawn 0-0 away at Shrewsbury Town last weekend in a match of few chances.

The Bees travel down from North West London having lost their opening fixture 2-0 at home to Fleetwood Town. They have also played in the League Cup losing to Newport County on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

Bromley manager Andy Woodman was pleased with his team’s performance overall at Shrewsbury, especially the performance of new signings Mitchell Pinnock and Kyle Cameron.

Barnet won the National League title last season under manager Dean Brennan having finished second the previous year and will be hoping to re-establish themselves as an EFL club.

The last time the clubs met was in the National League two seasons ago, the game at The Hive in April 2024 ending 1-1, while earlier in the season at Hayes Lane, Barnet won 2-0 with Nicke Kabamba scoring for The Bees who joined Bromley this January.

This game looks set to be equally as close between familiar opponents, with both teams looking to get a first win in the new campaign.

The club announced a small number of tickets were still available for the match with the capacity still reduced to 3,100 due to the new East Terrace development.

Kick off is at 3pm.
