National League Bromley entertain Ryman League Division One South Whitstable Town in the Kent Senior Cup Second Round at Hayes Lane on Tuesday night.

Bromley v Cambridge United Pre-season Friendly 25/07/2015.

After two failed attempts to get this cup tie played at Belmont Road the Kent FA made the decision to switch the game to Hayes Lane, the first attempt saw the game postponed due to a waterlogged pitch before a week later the match was abandoned due to floodlight failure after only 16minutes with The Ravens leading 1-0 and fielding a virtually full strength team.

The Oystermen make the trip up from the coast with a new management team now in place, former Gills and Trinidad & Tobago International Ian Cox has teamed up with ex-Bromley man Wayne Wilson to try and steer Whitstable to safety after a poor start to the season which has seen then occupying bottom place in the table and the departure of two managers already.

On Saturday the new regime over saw a narrow 3-2 home defeat to East Grinstead, heartbreakingly conceding two goals in the last ten minutes.

Bromley go into the game following a 2-0 defeat at Guiesley, their fourth loss in a row and fifth in seven.

This game will give Mark Goldberg a chance to give a few players some much needed game time given the injury problems they have suffered and that they have no game on Saturday with Grimsby still involved in the FA Cup.

Whitstable won at Sittingbourne in the first round, while Bromley recorded a 2-0 victory at Dover with a side of Academy and squad players to set this match.

With both sides looking to regain the winning habit and the prize of Charlton Athletic at home in the next round it should be a well contested competitive cup tie.
