Bromley v Torquay United preview

After putting an end to their losing run on Saturday with a 2-2 draw at AFC Fylde, Bromley are back in National League action on Tuesday night when they entertain Torquay United at Hayes Lane.

The Gulls travel up from Devon sitting bottom of the table without a win and yet to appoint a managerial replacement for Kevin Nicholson, but they do have three draws to their name so far, one of which came on Saturday when they drew 0-0 at home to promotion challenging Wrexham.

Neil Smith was happy to have ended a run of three defeats at Fylde, but will have been equally frustrated that his side let a two goal lead slip with half an hour to go and were hanging on at the end.

With the exception of the Orient game, The Ravens have struggled to convert their chances so far this season and look a goal scorer away from being a very good side. Fans were very disappointed to see last season’s top scorer Blair Turgott go to Boreham Wood on loan from Stevenage last week rather than come back to Bromley.

When the two sides met last season at Hayes Lane in February Bromley won 1-0, while Torquay won their home game by the same score line back in August 2016. With both sides having picked up a point at the weekend this will be another tight game as they both try and find the key to turn draws into wins.
