Bromley v Staines Town preview

Conference South leaders Bromley host bottom of the table Staines Town at Hayes Lane on Saturday looking to maintain their four point lead over the chasing pack with only seven games left.

Bromley goal

Struggling Staines have only won once in the league this year, although they did pick up a point at Hayes & Yeading Utd on Tuesday drawing 0-0.

The Swans are managed by former Gillingham player Nick Forster who took over from Marcus Gayle, but on limited resources he has not been able to turn results around.

The Ravens won the away match 6-0 last month and will be looking to replicate this following a 5-0 win over Farnborough at Hayes Lane on Tuesday, which saw in form striker Jamie Slabber score two more goals.

Boosted by the return of Louis Dennis to the side, it was also heartening for Bromley fans to see Pierre Joseph-Dubois taking part in the warm up on Tuesday night, raising hopes he may be fit to return before the end of the campaign.

Although there has been no update on the progress of the other injured players Ben May or Anthony Cook.

It’s easy to trot out the old cliché about there being no easy games, but Bromley will have to avoid any kind of complacency and get the job done against Staines, as stranger things have happened at Hayes Lane in the past.
