Bromley v Rochdale preview

Following on from their incredible away win at Hartlepool Utd last weekend Bromley are back in National League action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Rochdale at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens won 4-1 at Hartlepool Utd last Saturday thanks to a double from Michael Cheek plus one each from Ben Krauhaus & Olufela Olomola.

The win took Andy Woodman’s team up to second in the table with 42 points from 22 games, eleven points behind run away leaders Chesterfield.

A Bromley XI played in the Kent Senior Cup away at Dartford on Tuesday night losing 5-1, first team squad members Todd Miller, Kido Taylor-Hart, Ryan Jones & Bim Pepple featured in the game along with Mitchel Bergkamp who made a return from a long injury lay off.

Rochdale make the trip down from Lancashire sitting in eighth place with 33 points from 22 league matches.

Last weekend Dale won 2-1 away at Dagenham & Redbridge with goals from Cian Hayes and Ian Henderson, before The Daggers scored one late on.

When the sides met at Spotland back in August they drew 2-2, Bromley going in front twice through Chin Okoli & Michael Cheek, before Rochdale equalised through a double from Tyrese Sinclair.

The game also saw two red cards shown, with Josh Passley being sent off for The Ravens in the first half and Adam Clayton for Dale in the second.

This is Rochdale’s first season in the National League following relegation from the Football League in May and they have settled into life at this level much quicker than most teams who have fallen through the trap door from the 92.

James McNulty’s side are on a run of three consecutive wins in the National League, which has seen them move up to the fringes of the promotion play off spots.

With Barnet involved in FA Cup action this weekend, the chance to move clear into second place is there for Bromley, while Rochdale will be hoping to make the jump into the top seven as we head into the halfway stage of the campaign.

Tickets are available from the Bromley FC website, Adults £20, Concessions £15, Under 16’s £7, 11 years and under are free (accompanied by a paying adult). Please note: ticket prices will automatically increase by £2 online from midnight ahead of kick-off and on the gate. There is also a printed programme at £3. Kick off is 3pm.
