Bromley v Kings Lynn Town preview

Bromley are back in National League action again on Tuesday night when they host Kings Lynn Town at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Weymouth on Saturday, that saw two Bromley players sent off in the second half and two goals concede in the first seven minutes of the first period.

Manager Neil Smith expressed his annoyance at both the indiscipline and poor defending that lead to the loss, saying the players had let themselves down.

Bromley stayed in fourteenth place with 26 points from 18 games, but are still just 4 points off the play off places.

Kings Lynn make the journey down from Norfolk sitting in 21st place with 18 points from 17 league matches. Ian Culverhouse’s team lost their last game 2-0 at home to Wrexham, ten days ago and they have struggled to get to grips with life in non league’s top flight following promotion last season, like Bromley only winning one game in January.

When the sides met in December Bromley won 4-1 at The Walks, thanks to goals from James Alabi, Michael Cheek, Liam Trotter and Reeco Hackett, while Power scored for the home side.

The Ravens desperately need a repeat of this to try and get their bid for a top seven finish back up and running, while Lynn need to get a run going to move away from the bottom four.

The game is being played behind closed doors as per Covid rules, but supporters can live stream the game for £9.99, details on the Bromley FC official website. The service has been widely praised by fans of all clubs.
