Bromley v Halifax Town – Preview

After two consecutive home wins in the National League, Bromley travel up to The Shay to play in form Halifax Town on Saturday afternoon.

The Ravens defeated strugglers Torquay Utd 3-1 & Solihull Moors 1-0 in tight games at Hayes Lane last week and will be hoping to take that form with them on the road against a side whose unbeaten run of six games came to an end at the weekend with a 3-1 loss at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Both sides have 18points from 11games so far this season and this looks set to be a close fought encounter as the previous two games in 2015-16 were, when they shared a 2-2 draw in Yorkshire before Bromley won the game at Hayes Lane 1-0.

The Shaymen won promotion from National League North last season and look to have found their feet again quickly back at this level winning five matches to date.

Neil Smith was pleased with the win over Solihull at the weekend, especially with the impact of the substitutes Iffy Allen and George Porter who combined to score the winning goal with three minutes left.

Whether either player is given a start against Halifax remains to be seen, but it’s a nice problem to have for the Bromley manager in his second full season in charge.
