Bromley v Gateshead preview

Bromley entertain familiar opposition at Hayes Lane on Saturday when they play Gateshead in The National League.

The two sides met in a two legged FA Trophy semifinal last month and now meet in the league for the second time this season.

Bromley won the home leg of the semi final 3-2 and also won 2-0 up at The International Athletics Arena in September, drawing the most recent encounter 1-1 two weeks ago.

The Heed travel down sitting fourteenth in the table with 49 points from 38 games and are without a win in five matches. Their last game saw them draw 0-0 at home to Dagenham and Redbridge.

Bromley sit in tenth with 59 points from 39 matches buoyed by a stunning 3-0 win at Sutton on Easter Monday. The victory igniting play off hopes again among some fans.

Steve Watson’s side will be hoping for some kind of revenge following the trophy defeat, but The Ravens will be aiming to keep the league season alive as well as having already secured a place at Wembley in May for the FA Trophy final.
