Bromley v Ebbsfleet United preview

Bromley play their last game of 2023 on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Ebbsfleet United in a National League local derby at Hayes Lane.

The Ravens go into the game sitting in second place having picked up 52 points from 26 league matches, already guaranteeing them at least another season at this level and setting up a push for promotion going into the new year.

On Boxing Day Andy Woodman’s side came away from the reverse fixture at Stonebridge Road with a 3-2 win, Michael Cheek, Ben Krauhaus & Olufela Olomola on target for Bromley, while Dominic Poleon scored twice for Fleet.

Ebbsfleet make the short trip over sitting in twenty second place, one point off Dorking Wanderers who sit fifth from bottom, with 24 points from 26 matches.

Dennis Kutrieb’s side are in their first season back at this level following promotion from National League South last campaign, winning the title in some style. Fleet have won one, drawn two and lost two of their last five league matches, with striker Dominic Poleon scoring 12 goals so far this season.

Former Ebbsfleet striker Michael Cheek has also netted 12 times so far this campaign, for Bromley and The Ravens also have two more ex-Fleet players in Corey Whitely and Myles Weston in their ranks, while the visitors have former-Raven Mark Cousins in goal who recently made the headlines scoring a late equaliser at York City.

This looks set to be another close fought, entertaining derby game with both sides looking to end the year with a positive result in front of a good crowd at Hayes Lane.
