Bromley v Dagenham & Redbridge preview

After last weekend’s FA Trophy Semi Final victory, Bromley return to Hayes Lane for National League action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Dagenham & Redbridge in a game both sides need to win to keep in touch with the play off places.

The Ravens suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss at relegation threatened Kings Lynn Town on Tuesday night, leaving Andy Woodman’s team without a league win since 29th January, although they have won three FA Trophy matches in that time.

The defeat left Bromley in tenth with 54 points from 34 league games.

The injury woes continued with Scott Wagstaff having to go off before half time with a calf injury and top scorer Michael Cheek was unable to start the match due to illness.

Luke Coulson, Omar Sowunmi & Harry Forster were also out injured and with Marcus Sablier, Ben Margetson & Palace Francis out on loan the squad is looking very small with so many games coming up.

Woodman questioned some of his players desire in the post match interview and vowed to work hard to get a response on Saturday, stating there were still ten league matches left to play.

Dagenham make the short journey over from East London sitting one place above Bromley with 56 points from 36 matches played, on Tuesday night they drew 0-0 with fellow play off challengers Boreham Wood.

Daryl McMahon’s Daggers have won two of their last five league games and drawn once.

When the teams met at Victoria Road in August, Dagenham won 4-2 with goals from Josh Walker, Paul McCallum, Matt Robinson & Myles Weston. Byron Webster & Michael Cheek with the goals for The Ravens either side of The Daggers four.

This game looks set to be another entertaining match up between two teams in need of points to keep up their challenge for the promotion play offs.

Tickets for the game are £20 for adults, £15 for OAPs & Students, £7 for 16-18 year olds, Under 16s go free and are available from the official Bromley website, with a printed programme at £2.50. Kick off 3pm.
