Bromley v Altrincham preview

Bromley play their last home game of the 2021/22 season on Tuesday night when they entertain Altrincham at Hayes Lane in the National League.

The Ravens go into the game on the back of a 2-2 home draw with Dover Athletic last Saturday, Andy Woodman’s team going in front twice through Chris Bush & Corey Whitely before conceding equalisers from set pieces to the relegated side, the second one in injury time.

The point kept Bromley in eleventh place with 63 points from 42 league matches played.

Altrincham lost 3-0 at Notts County at the weekend and have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five games. Phil Parkinson’s Alty currently sit in fourteenth with 54 points from 42 league matches.

When the teams met in the reverse fixture last December, Bromley won 1-0 courtesy of a first half goal from Omar Sowunmi. The centre back has been injured since the end of January and has been a major loss to The Raven’s defence.

Andy Woodman spoke of his frustration following the draw with Dover and hinted that he would be looking to field something close to the starting line up for the FA Trophy final for the Altrincham game, having made several changes to the side in recent weeks as he assessed his options for the final against Wrexham on 22nd May at Wembley Stadium.

Bromley have won only twice since January and will be hoping to end their home fixtures with a win.

Tickets for the game are £20 for adults, £15 for concessions, £7 for 16-18 year olds and Under 16s go free, with a printed programme at £2.50.
