Bromley v Aldershot Town preview

After last week’s late postponement due to an electrical fault Bromley and Aldershot will try again this Tuesday night at Hayes Lane in the National League.

Both sides won their respective matches at the weekend, with the Ravens recording a 3-0 win at Barrow, while Aldershot defeated Wrexham 2-0 at home, their third consecutive win in the league.

Bromley manager Neil Smith was delighted with his team’s performance on Saturday and also praised the hard bunch of fans who made the trip up to Cumbria with the game still in doubt.

The players weathered the pressure from the home side for spells in the match and scored three goals all from midfielders.

The squad was boosted by the return of Roger Johnson to defence, which allowed Jack Holland to fulfil the role of emergency striker again with Williams suspended.

The Ravens now sit in eighth with 35 points from 21 games, while The Shots are a point ahead in sixth with the same matches played.

When the two sides met at Hayes Lane last season the game ended 2-2, with Aldershot winning 4-0 at the Recreation Ground later on in the campaign.

The club have reduced admission process for the game to £10 for adults and will refund anyone with a ticket for the original match either the difference or fully if they are unable to make the re-arranged fixture.

Hopefully this good will gesture will result in another good crowd for a match between two in form teams pushing for the play offs.
