Bromley ready for new season

Bromley sent out two teams for pre-season games on Saturday with a young side captained by Sam German recording a 0-0 draw away at National League South side Chelmsford City, while a near full strength first team squad took on Championship team Millwall at Hayes Lane losing 2-1.

Idris Odutayo scored Bromley’s goal in second half injury time against The Lions who fielded their first team squad, The Ravens holding Millwall to 0-0 in the fiat half, before conceding twice in the second in period and replying late on.

The major downside of the game for Andy Woodman was a serious injury to Carl Jenkinson, who dislocated his hip and had to be stretchered off, an incident that had clearly shaken The Ravens boss in his post match interview for the club.

With everyone clearly wishing the former Arsenal and England full back well and a speedy recovery.

Jenkinson had featured on the right side of a back three throughout the warm up games and this will no doubt affect Woodman’s preparation as he gets the team ready for their opening League Two game away to Shrewsbury Town next Saturday.
