Bromley picked up a bonus point from their first EFL Trophy Group match with Crystal Palace Under 21s, with a penalty shoot out win after an entertaining 3-3 draw at Hayes Lane on Tuesday night.

In an open start Palace created the better chances, Asher Agbinone had a shot saved by Sam Long early on and Kaden Rooney fired over, before Bromley went close when Fred Taylor hit the bar with a cross from the right.
Palace took the lead on 26 minutes when Rooney broke down the left and crossed for Zach Marsh who headed home from ten yards out.
The Ravens rallied from there, Ben Thompson headed wide, Ben Krauhaus had a shot blocked and they finally drew level when a poor clearance from Harry Lee fell to Krauhaus who converted from just inside the area for 1-1.
Parity didn’t last long through, with the home defemce backing off, Adler Nacimento unleasehed a sublime curling effort from 35 yards out whch just curled inside the post to put The Eagles back in front.
Bromley pushed back again from there, Nike Kabamba had a header cleaded off the line before they made it 2-2 when Corey Whitely crossed for Deji Elerewe to head home at the far post.
Late in the half, Elerewe went close for The Ravens, while Agbinone had a shot saved by Long at the other end.
The second period saw Bromley start on top and continue to press for the majority of the half, unusually having the majority of the ball posession stats.
After a sustained spell of pressure they finally went in front on 69 minutes when the lively Brooklyn Ilunga crossed from the left for Marcus Dinanga to smash the ball home high into the net and make it 3-2.
Alex Stepien-Iwumene headed over soon after and Jude Arthurs had a shot well saved by Lee as Bromley dominated.
Andy Woodman’s side looked to be on their way to all three points when Palace equalised against the run of play on 88 minutes, Jo Gibbard crossing for the unmarked Marsh to score his second of the night with a header and make it 3-3.
The penalty shoot out followed with Bromley keeper Sam Long blazing over the first kick, the ball clearing the ground and into the car park. Long soon made up for his miss, saving two spot kicks and with Arthurs, Dinanga, Iwumene and Odutayo all converting The Ravens won 4-3 and picked up an extra point.
