Bromley 1-1 Woking

Bromley grabbed an injury time equaliser courtesy of Kido Taylor-Hart to help keep them clear in third place against a Woking side battling against relegation.

After a slow start Bromley had the first chance when Michael Cheek’s header from a Jude Arthurs free kick was saved by Will Jaaskelainen.

The game lacked any real quality though with wayward passes and long balls to no one from both sides, Often broken up with free kicks that saw nine yellow cards shown.

Callum Reynolds crossed for Cheek who headed wide soon after, before Woking’s  Luke Wilkinson had a shot saved from a corner. Ashley Charles went close with a free kick after a foul on Corey Whitely, but going into the break The Cards rallied with a series of corners and started to cause problems with the diagonal ball to Kevin Berkoe on the left.

It was from one such ball that they took the lead on 43 minutes when Berkoe crossed for Dan Moss at the far post, who turned the ball back to Ricky Korboa to bundle the ball home to give Woking a half time lead.

Andy Woodman made two changes at half time and moved to a 4-4-2 formation, but the game still took time to get going.

Will Davies fired over after latching on to a Cheek flick on and Charles put a free kick over after Taylor-Hart had been brought down on the edge of the area.

Woking had another strong spell going into the last ten minutes, Charlie Kendall and Jayden Lucker both forcing saves from Lewis Thomas.

Then finally Heading into injury time Bromley woke up and pushed for an equaliser. Cheek and Taylor-Hart had a shots saved by Jaaskelainen and they had a series of corners.

Before on 91 minutes the breakthrough came when a long throw was flicked on by Idris Odutayo and Taylor-Hart drove the ball low through a crowd of players into the far corner to make it 1-1.

The result left Bromley four points clear in third with Woking three clear of the bottom four.

Andy Woodman now prepares his side for the FA Trophy semi final with Solihull Moors next Saturday.
