Bromley’s game against a young Charlton side was hindered from being any kind of entertaining spectacle by the bizarre over fussy refereeing display by Mr Ajibola, who failed to let the game flow at all.

When the players were allowed to get on with it there were some flashes of nice football from both sides.

After a quiet first twenty minutes Bromley were gifted the first goal when Addicks Keeper Nick Pope scuffed a goal kick direct to Sabir Mullings who coolly placed the ball past Pope into the net for 1-0 on 22 minutes.

Pierre Joseph-Dubois had two good chances saved soon after while the impressive Diego Poyet was foiled by George onward at the other end.

The second half saw Bromley on the back foot and after a strong spell of possession Charlton equalised on 57 minutes when the lively Tobi Sho-Silva crossed for Oliver Muldoon to score from just inside the box.

Bradley Jordan had a powerful shot tipped over by Howard and Sho-Silva was also denied twice by Howard, before The Addicks were reduced to ten men when Harry Lennon was sent off for catching Rob Swaine off the ball.

The game drifted to a conclusion constantly stopped for free kicks by Mr Abobola with Bromley only creating one chance in the half when Alex Bentley fired wife from distance.

This was a decent display from the hosts, but the downside for Mark Goldberg came in the shape of injuries to Danny Waldren, Elliott Buchanan and Rob Swaine.
