Barrow v Bromley preview

Top of the table Bromley are back in League Two action on Saturday afternoon when they make the long trip up to Holker Street to play bottom of the table Barrow.

The Ravens go into the game on an unbeaten run of 21 matches and currently sit nine points clear of Notts County in fourth place. Last Saturday Andy Woodman’s side won 1-0 at home to Colchester Utd, courtesy of a Nicke Kabamba goal in the second half. The victory moved Bromley on to 79 points from 39 matches.

Barrow are currently bottom of League Two, 50 points behind The Ravens, but just two points off Newport County in twenty second. The Bluebirds have lost their last two games and are without a win in eight matches. Last weekend Barrow lost 5-0 away at Grimsby Town.

Bromley are still without the injured top scorer Michael Cheek, defender Kyle Cameron and there is also a doubt over Jesse Debrah who went off injured against Colchester.

When the teams met at Hayes Lane in November, Bromley ran out 2-1 winners with goals from Marcis Ifill and a late Nicke Kabamba strike, after Ben Whitfield had equalised for Barrow.

With both teams looking for points in their battles at opposite ends of the table, this should be an intriguing encounter, with Bromley manager Andy Woodman targeting another clean sheet for his side to help their promotion chances.

Kick off is at 3pm, but as there are no Premier League fixtures this weekend, the game is also being shown on Sky Sports Plus.
