Barnet vs Bromley Preview

After two consecutive defeats, Bromley are looking to bounce back quickly on Tuesday night when they travel to The Hive to face Barnet in The National League.

Without suspended duo Joe Kizzi & Chris Bush, The Ravens lost 2-1 at home to Barrow on Saturday, which saw them lose top spot to Halifax Town.

Manager Neil Smith was clear in his post match interview that both defenders would be making an immediate return to the starting line up after their one match bans, stating that his team had disappointed him for the first time this season.

The one plus side to the Barrow match was Michael Cheek’s goal, as the striker continues to impress the Bromley fans not only with his strike rate, but his hard work as the lone striker.

Still in second place with an impressive haul of 29 points from 15 games, Smith’s side will be looking at the last two results as just a blip in an excellent first third of the season.

In their second season since being relegated from the Football league, Darren Currie’s Barnet side currently sit sixth in the table with 24 points from 15 games and are unbeaten in three matches. On Saturday they drew 1-1 at Dagenham & Redbridge, with Josh Walker equalising for The Bees late in the first half.

When the sides met at The Hive on Easter Monday last season the game ended 1-1, with Jordan Higgs putting Bromley in front before Shaquille Coulthwick equalised for the home side.

This time round the game looks set to be equally as close with The Ravens looking to stay within touching distance of the lead and The Bees also looking to keep in the play off spots.
