Simon Rudd is a double FunCup champion adding the 2025 title to the FunCup Endurance Championship title that he won in 2024. Although it went down to the wire for the second season in a row.

Rudd and his teammates can be forgiven for thinking here we go again as like last season the season came down to the last race, but that is what makes the racing and the series so exciting. However, they would prevail again to take back to back titles at Oulton Park.

Along the season they finished on the podium seven times, with five wins and it is that consistency that helped them secure the championship once again.

Speaking at the end of another successful season, Rudd said: “I can’t stress enough how much this is a team effort. These championships are difficult to win a race, never mind the entire thing and it’s not possible without every single person.

“I don’t take for granted everyone that makes it happen from family to friends, sponsors to team mates and the general support and following we are building up. If you’ve engaged in any way with our journey, then thank you!

“The FunCup has a totally unique vibe to it. Massively competitive on the track, but off it the respect and banter is like nothing else in motorsport. So thanks to anyone who’s made it enjoyable. We are finalising plans for 2026 with some changes and improvements already underway.”
