Amos picks up fans award
It was announced on Thursday that Ben Amos had won the PFA Fans’ Playe‎r of the Month award for October. Former Charlton trainee, Bradley Dack of Blackburn, was the runner up.

The Addicks conceded just one goal in their four games during the month‎. They took ten points out of twelve, with 1-0 wins over Doncaster, Bradford City and AFC Wimbledon, and a 1-1 draw at Oxford.

Amos was particularly impressive at Bradford, where he made two outstanding saves.

Karl Robinson is one of the nominees for the October Manager of the Month award. The result will be announced on Friday morning.

The Addicks will discover who their opponents in the Second Round of the Checkatrade Trophy will be on Friday‎ evening. The draw will be made at Wembley at 6.30pm.

Details of Charlton’s Second Round FA Cup tie at AFC Wimbledon should be confirmed in the next few days, with tickets going on sale by the middle of next week.

Josh Magennis’ Northern Ireland were beaten 1-0 by Switzerland in the first leg of their Worl Cup play-off game.

The game was settled by a penalty, awarded in highly controversial circumstances. The second leg will take place in Basel on Sunday.

On a brighter note, on loan Chelsea left-back, Jay Dasilva, trained with Gareth Southgate’s full England squad on Thursday.

‎Due to international call ups, the Addicks’ game at Shrewsbury has been put back to 23 January.

But Robinson’s side will entertain Queens Park Rangers in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Saturday.

The manager likes to keep things‎ as normal as possible during the international breaks, so he ‎tries to arrange a game to keep the team ticking over.
