Aldershot Town v Bromley preview

Bromley’s hunt for one of the final National League Play Off spots continues on Saturday when they travel to Hampshire to face Aldershot Town at the Recreation Ground.

With two league games to go The Ravens probably need to win both to be in with a chance of reaching the promotion play offs. Andy Woodman’s side drew 2-2 away at Notts County last Saturday taking the lead via an own goal and then equalising via a Tate Campbell header in the second half.

The point left Bromley in eighth with 63 points from 40 games played, just outside of the top seven on goals difference, with Chesterfield seven goals better off on the same points total, a point ahead of Eastleigh who have a game in hand.

Byron Webster, Courtney Duffus & Taylor Maloney were all still out injured, but Harry Forster has made a return from injury.

Danny Searle’s Aldershot Town side are sixteenth with 51 points from 40 league matches, they are on a poor run of form having lost four of their last five games, including a 3-1 home defeat to Eastleigh on Tuesday night, Harry Panayiotou scoring The Shots goal.

When the teams met at Hayes Lane in January, Bromley won 2-0 in front of the BT Sport cameras, thanks to goals from Jack Bridge and Michael Cheek.

The game is open to a limited number of home fans only, which may make The Ravens task a little tougher, but away fans can live stream the game from the Aldershot website for £12 and Bromley are also showing the game in The Ravens Bar at Hayes Lane, tables of six to be booked in advance from the club for £60.

Bromley have drawn two, lost one and won two of their last five games which means a win is a must for Woodman’s team if they are to maintain their bid for the post season games.
