Gillingham face one more away trip this season on Saturday when they make the relatively short trip to face Barnet at The Hive.

Boss Gareth Ainsworth is looking to finish with a flourish and on a high in the season’s final two games as he told KSN this week.
“They are flying high in the division and have been one of the surprise teams in the League this season I have to say – Bromley have shocked everyone and congratulations to them on their promotion, Barnet were under achieving at the start of the season given their league position but they are a strong side and some really good players and it’s going to be a tough game.”
“I am sure that we will travel well – it’s our last away game, I know there is a lot of fans going as always some wearing “crazy shirts”, so I have been told!
We though, have a job to do on a team that are flying high in the league, they have turned over Milton Keynes Dons and have turned over some big teams in the league and have been on a real good run; they have legs in their team and we have to contend with that. We still have one or two knocks, but we are coming to the end of the season and I am hoping to freshen things up and make those changes I have been talking about – I want to win both games and we will be going for the win and we will see what Barnet offer in opposition!”
“They have changed a lot formation wise this season – they are the team that have changed the most. They have multi-positional players who are key at this level and the fact that they are still going for the play-offs – we had it against Grimsby last week, we had it against Walsall a few weeks back.
“We are going there playing for pride and I want the last away performance of the season to be a good one – we finished well at Port Vale last year with a really good performance, and I’m hoping we can do the same this weekend.”
“You get to this stage of the season, and some players will take their foot off the gas, and I have to make sure that none of those players are in the team on Saturday. I have to make sure that they are all full throttle, all for Gillingham on Saturday as it’s not just for our fans but for all the other Clubs around us as well – we have got to put a performance in, and I know that the team that I pick will be able to put a performance in and win the game definitely.
“There will be no coming off the gas and if anyone wants to, I trust that they will come and see me in the next couple of days to tell me that they won’t be giving one hundred percent in these last couple of games, and I will leave them out.”
“The word professional comes into it now and I don’t think that will happen but as I have said, some of them will not be here next year and will be playing for contracts elsewhere and some are playing for contracts here and I do know that I do know that if you do yourself no favours in football by not giving everything – that’s from experience and so hopefully that will happen and I will demand anyway!”
“I will be looking for winners in the summer. I think we have lacked characters over the years here – I am not going to go into it too much, but I am going to try and recruit the right characters, but also we need some people who can put their legs in when we need them too – there’s a whole range of things that we are missing at the Football Club and I intend to change that!”
