Young Spanish winger, Ruben Bover, and Yado Mambo have signed contract extensions that will keep them at The Valley until the summer of 2013.

Bover had a spell at Lepe in the second half of the season and will benefit from the the new Under-21 league that Charlton will participate in during the forthcoming season.

Bover probably needs to beef up a little if he is to make an impact in England.

Mambo’s deal is perhaps a little surprising. The man mountain central-defemder has been on the periphery of the first team for the last three seasons without being able to make a breakthrough.

Yado has yet to make his league debut though he has played at Conference level whilst on loan. If Mambo has not been considered good enough for League One it is difficult to see how he could be Championship standard.

The friendly at Bromley has been put back three days until Saturday 28 July, the date originally scheduled for the game at Barnet. The two clubs are still hopeful that a game can take place at Underhill before the league season kicks-off.

The fringe players will take part in a friendly at Tonbridge Angels on Tuesday 7 August it was announced on Wednesday.
