Trescothick to talk about mental health
Trescothick to talk about mental health
This coming Monday, Cow Corner Events launch their ‘mental health in sport’ series with a legend from the cricketing world.

On February 18th in a private space for 100 guests only, England Cricket legend Marcus Trescothick MBE will discuss the perils and mental challenges he has faced and overcome to become a sporting hero in this country. At 43 years of age Marcus still has the fire inside to continue his cricket career. He has played 76 tests, 123 ODI’s and an astonishing 350 County Championship matches for Somerset and has incredible appetite and longevity.

He has publicly documented his struggles with mental health and he will be unearthing how he has coped and managed under great scrutiny found in professional sport. We will be raising funds for the Professional Cricketers Association on the night which goes towards the welfare of cricketers battling with their mental health.

The skills he has developed and inherited from a career in the spotlight can be transferred into any work place, and Cow Corner Events know the evening will be a great learning opportunity for their guests as well as a chance to meet a sporting hero.

Hosting the night will be former England Captain and maestro of the hosting circuit Chris Cowdrey, with a special appearance from ex England cricketer Graeme Fowler.

They have sold 70% of seats to date and would be honoured to welcome Kent fans on the night.
