Top Weekend for Team Hard
Top Weekend for Team Hard

Team Hard have followed up their recent success with another podium lockout this time in the VAG Trophy.Simon Rudd Podium - Snetterton
Tony Gilham and his charges ensured that it was another memorable weekend, when they finished 1,2,3 in the opening race at Snetterton.

Kent Sports News backed Simon Rudd, started race one from 5th on the grid and brought his VW Golf home to a third place finish. His best finish to date this season.

He was joined on the podium by his teammates Sam Edwards in second place and the ever impressive Rob Cox who took the race win.

An impressive result for Cox who is in his first season with Team Hard having started from 9th on the grid.

Daniel Clark showed his potential in his first race behind the wheel of the VW with an eleventh place finish. The race didn’t go that well for John Stevens, who had a nasty accident rolling the car after contact with a spinning car that he couldn’t avoid. Credit to Tony and his team as the car stood up to the battering it took and John walked away unscathed.

Sunday wasn’t quite as impressive at a wet Snetterton but it was another good day for the team as they came away with further results.Simon Rudd - Snetterton

Rudd followed up his podium with sixth place in the opening race of the day and along with it the fastest lap of the race. Rob Cox was back on the podium once again as he took third place. Clark went one better and finished in tenth place in only his second race with the team.

In the final race of the weekend Rudd was to lead the team home with a sixth place finish, with podium finisher from Saturday Edwards, two places further back in eight. Cox was to have his worst result of the weekend finishing 15th with Clark two places in front of him.

Poor Damani Marcano didn’t have a great weekend, with contact in the first race putting him out. In race two he took to the grid and was running in ninth place before the rain hit and his inexperience on slicks in the wet showed. He had a hefty accident which meant that he had to sit out the final race of the weekend, and turn his attention to the latest round of the VW Cup at Brands Hatch.
