The Edenbridge based former World Champion has strong ties with the circuit near Chatham and his company will now take over the running of the business that has seen the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button learn their trade.

John Surtees OBE and Bill Sisley have reached an agreement for John Surtees Limited to acquire the business and assets of the companies operated by Bill Sisley at Buckmore Park.

The businesses will continue to operate under the same trading names and Bill Sisley is to continue as a consultant for the companies.

Eighty one year old Surtees, who is a legend on both two and four wheels, already owned the land at Buckmore Park along with another 90 acres next to the site and has now taken over the operation of the karting circuit.

The operation team will continue as before, but with Chris Pullman stepping up as joint Managing Director with Mike Griffiths. Chris will be responsible for the day to day operations of Buckmore Park.
