The Invicta Dynamos have confirmed that netminder Steve Nightingale is no longer with the squad and that veteran Glen Rodbourne has stepped up to fill the void and provide backup to starter Damien King.

Goalie Steve Nightingale re-signed for the Mos in the summer but after only 212 minutes between the posts since the first puck drop in September, the shot stopper has opted to call time on his spell on the roster.

The Dynamos have thanked him for his efforts both on the ice and behind the scenes in training and wish him well for the future.

Meanwhile Head Coach Kevin Parrish has been forced to move quickly to secure a deputy for Damien King and veteran Glen Rodbourne, formerly of the Medway Bears, Haringey Greyhounds, Romford Raiders and Oxford City Blades is the man picked for the job.

Rodbourne will join up with the Mos immediately and his first action involved rushing the pads of his fellow netminder to Milton Keynes on Sunday so that the shot stopper could join the game after 18 minutes of play.

Despite guarding an empty frame for nearly an entire period, the visitors would go on to record an historic 6-2 win.

Now the Dynamos are next in action this weekend as they travel to face the London Raiders on Saturday before hosting the Solent Devils on Sunday.

Tickets are available at the rink now or can be purchased at reception on the way into the venue on game day.

Doors will open at 4.30pm with faceoff at 5.15pm.
